Leading Oil Company was struggling with inconsistent, inaccurate customer information delivered across multiple channels, which led to duplicate ad hoc solutions and eroded trust. To address this, the company engaged GE Digital’s Design Thinking team to create a single customer-facing digital platform (including the engageDrilling capability) that would consolidate real-time, authoritative information and standardize customer interactions.
GE Digital’s Design Thinking team worked with stakeholders to prototype an intuitive platform, validated it with three actual customers, and then rolled the finished solution out to the full customer base. The result reestablished trust and transparency and delivered a clear measurable impact: part-quote turnaround fell from about one day to under ten minutes after GE Digital’s platform was deployed.
