City Of Chandler Leverages Dream Report And GE Software To Ease Reporting And EPA Compliance

The City of Chandler, Arizona, needed to produce monthly operations reports from its wastewater treatment plant for internal use and EPA compliance but was relying on slow, labor‑intensive Excel queries against data logged by its GE HMI/SCADA (CIMPLICITY) system into a Microsoft SQL database. To eliminate manual work and add long‑term document management and easy retrieval, the City moved to an out‑of‑the‑box reporting approach leveraging Dream Report alongside GE Digital software.

With Carollo’s help the City implemented Dream Report integrated with GE HMI/SCADA (CIMPLICITY) and its SQL historian, providing web‑accessible, template‑driven reports, ad‑hoc data queries, and mobile access. GE Digital‑enabled integration delivered measurable benefits: new reports created in minutes versus days, faster and less labor‑intensive reporting, improved collaboration and decision making via anytime/anywhere access (including smartphones), and better support for EPA compliance.
