Brüggen GmbH, a leading commercial vehicle constructor with one of Europe’s most advanced coating installations, struggled because its coating-area IT could not communicate with its SAP ERP. That forced manual transfer of orders and manual in-step quality checks, creating delays, extra labor and potential for errors. To solve this, Brüggen engaged GE Digital and deployed its HMI/SCADA suite—including iFIX, Historian, Workflow and Plant Applications.

GE Digital implemented SAP integration, real-time visualization and control so orders upload directly and progress/quality can be monitored on screens; adjustments are pushed straight to machine controls and curing processes are automatically managed. The GE Digital solution eliminated manual data transfer, shortened production ramp-up, reduced error risk and improved delivery and process reliability—while enabling employees to monitor and control operations in real time.
