Power Financial Credit Union (PFCU), a $926 million credit union in Pembroke Pines, Fla., needed a way to increase mortgage refinance volume from its existing membership but struggled to identify members who were actively shopping for refinancing before they went to competitors. To solve this visibility gap, PFCU engaged GDS Link and used a Trigger Mortgage Inquiry Campaign (GDS Link’s Trigger Marketing service) to get advanced credit-data alerts when members submitted mortgage inquiries.
GDS Link implemented real-time inquiry triggers and automated outreach so PFCU could contact members while they were actively shopping, supplemented by branch follow-up calls. In the first two months the campaign produced 8.33% of PFCU’s total mortgage loans (about $2.14 million), nearly $1 million in potential interest income, and delivered a 166x return on investment in the first year of earned interest alone; the program also generated cross-sell “halo” loans and deeper member relationships, prompting PFCU to expand the campaign.
