Reduced Network Latency and Improved Performance through Effective Inter-Site Communication with Dynamic Multipoint VPN

GAVS Technologies helped a major home furniture manufacturer and retailer improve communication between its branch offices and stores. The company was experiencing high latency, poor inter-site communication, and heavy maintenance overhead because all traffic was being forced through traditional IPsec VPNs via the datacenter hub, creating a single point of failure.

GAVS Technologies migrated the environment to Cisco Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN), using hub-and-spoke and spoke-to-spoke mGRE tunnels with IPsec protection, then transitioned sites to GETVPN for secure, direct inter-site connectivity. The result was datacenter-independent communication across 57 sites, reduced hub routing overhead, and a drop in store-to-store response time from 35 milliseconds to 10 milliseconds, with better resilience if the hub went down.
