A GAVS Technologies Case Study
GAVS Technologies worked with the Open Networking Foundation, an operator-driven non-profit consortium focused on open networking, to address the lack of open source EPC implementation for private LTE and edge services. The telecom market was dominated by proprietary vendor solutions, making it difficult for smaller players to deploy compliant, flexible core network infrastructure.
GAVS Technologies contributed end-to-end to the OMEC open source 5G core development effort, including design, implementation, and testing of multiple modules such as NGIC-RTC, C3PO, OpenMME, Nucleus, IL_Trafficgen, and the deployment framework. By leveraging SDN and NFV, GAVS Technologies helped deliver a 3GPP-compliant EPC and an open sourced core that enabled operators, MVNOs, and vendors to deploy more reliable and scalable private 5G platforms and edge services over public and private cloud.
