The customer had no automation to create, configure, or manage load balancers, making new load balancer setup take up to 3 days and requiring manual intervention for configuration changes, booting, scaling, and availability management.

GAVS Technologies implemented an automation solution built on OpenStack Octavia to boot devices and configure load balancers through the OpenStack platform, with support for custom network device APIs and rack devices. The result was a drastic reduction in load balancer boot time from 3 days to 3 minutes, along with improved traffic distribution, speed, high availability, and easy horizontal scaling.
