Connectivity-as-a-Service (CaaS) Cloud Provider - Customer Case Study

GAVS Technologies worked with a Connectivity-as-a-Service (CaaS) Cloud Provider that wanted to offer enterprises a ready-to-use, cloud-based 5G core network, extending its existing 4G core capabilities into 5G. The customer needed a flexible solution that could support both cloud-based and edge-based deployments, with separation of control and data planes and compatibility with third-party gNodeBs and CPEs.

GAVS Technologies deployed the open-source Aether 5G Core on AWS EKS, integrated it with the customer’s gNodeB, and carried out end-to-end functional and integration testing across multiple CPEs and phones. The implementation enabled the customer to launch a secure 5G-as-a-Service offering, while also uncovering and helping fix multiple issues in the 5G core, gNBs, CPEs, UDM, PCF/SMF processes, and network throughput, improving overall deployment readiness and reliability.
