A Gatsby Case Study
Alpro, a Belgian-based plant-based food subsidiary of Danone, faced the challenge of localizing its marketing websites for over 40 global markets and 30 languages while maintaining brand consistency. To overcome the burdensome task of manual translation within a monolithic architecture, Alpro worked with Gatsby to implement a modern, headless solution using Contentful as their composable CMS.
The Gatsby solution, part of a broader MACH architecture, integrated with the Lilt translation service and Netlify for deployment. This allowed Alpro's team to easily create and approve translated content, empowering local markets and reducing reliance on expensive agencies. The results were significant, with Alpro now reaching 4 million visitors per year and achieving a 22% year-over-year traffic increase alongside improved engagement metrics.
