SNCF Connect & Tech, the digital and e-commerce division of France's SNCF Group, faced challenges in managing high network traffic and providing developer autonomy with their previous load testing tool. Their priorities were to efficiently handle increasing sessions per second, adapt to changing government policies for ticket management, and migrate their infrastructure to the cloud without performance issues.

The customer implemented Gatling Enterprise, a self-hosted load testing solution, which was integrated with Maven. Gatling provided the tools for developers to conduct soak and peak tests, enabling a successful migration to a hybrid AWS cloud infrastructure. The results included the creation of a strong internal community of over 50 agile and autonomous developers, the ability to script and run simulations in under three days, and the successful management of 120 terabytes of data monthly with low infrastructure costs.
