Kendal at Oberlin, a life plan community for older adults, faced the challenge of keeping their residents connected to loved ones safely during the 2020 holidays amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The vendor, Gather Voices, provided its software solution to help the team find a creative way to foster authentic human connection while adhering to safety protocols.

Using Gather Voices' platform, the staff easily collected, edited, and shared over 250 personalized video greetings from more than 225 loved ones across the country. The solution allowed residents to view the messages on-demand, fostering joy and connection. The videos were reported to have a particularly healing effect on residents suffering from memory loss during a time of isolation, successfully maintaining the community's spirit.
