BlaBlaCar, the Paris-based shared-mobility marketplace operating across 22 countries, faced a contract management crisis as rapid growth left contracts scattered across Google Drive and email and its in-house Legal team swamped with admin and renewal tracking. After evaluating the market, BlaBlaCar selected Gatekeeper’s Contract Management Solution—notably its central contract repository and Kanban Workflow Engine—to provide a single source of truth and configurable workflows to regain control.

Gatekeeper implemented a bulk upload of documents, configured approval workflows and trained users, delivering dashboards, automated notifications and role-based controls. As a result, BlaBlaCar now has centralized visibility across legal entities, no longer misses renewals (avoiding unwanted auto-renewals), reduced time spent on ad hoc email chasing, and enabled Finance to reconcile contracts with invoices; Gatekeeper’s platform is widely adopted (included in new-hire onboarding) and continues to evolve to support further integration via its API.
