Case Study: Optus boosts sales training and knowledge retention with Gametize

A Gametize Case Study

Preview of the Optus Case Study

Optus Yes creates a fun way to increase knowledge retention with Gametize

Optus, a major Australian telecom company, sought to improve knowledge retention and customer service skills among its large and diverse sales team. The challenge was to effectively deliver training on overcoming common customer objections in a way that would engage their young, tech-savvy, and time-poor retail staff. They engaged the vendor, Gametize, to create a new training solution.

Gametize implemented a rebranded gamified platform called "Optus Yes Quest" with a "Network Ninja" theme. The solution delivered daily challenges over two weeks, including videos and interactive knowledge checks, which made the learning process fun and social. This approach by Gametize achieved a 70% participation rate, with over 2,500 submissions and high levels of user interaction, proving its effectiveness as a learning tool and leading to an award for Optus.
