A Gallup Case Study
KinderCare, a major provider of early childhood education, was facing significant challenges including high employee turnover, declining enrollment, and 14 consecutive quarters of financial decline. To address this, the company partnered with Gallup to leverage its workplace science, including qualitative research and the Q12® employee engagement survey, to diagnose and solve a core culture issue.
Gallup helped KinderCare develop a science-backed talent strategy, which included creating an industry-first talent assessment tool to hire inspired educators. The vendor also guided the implementation of an employee engagement strategy to bridge the gap between staff and families. The results were transformative: KinderCare achieved 18 engaged employees for every disengaged one and won Gallup's Exceptional Workplace Award seven years in a row. Measurable impacts included children showing a two to four-month developmental advantage, a 13% increase in children measured as "gifted," and programs seeing 2.5 times the net revenue growth and 13 times the profit growth, leading to 23 consecutive quarters of financial growth.
