A Gallup Case Study
The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC), a global beauty leader, had a goal to become the world's most inclusive and diverse beauty company, striving to be the top employer for diverse talent. To support employee wellbeing, performance, and a sense of inclusion, ELC partnered with vendor Gallup to deeply embed a strengths-based approach into its culture using the CliftonStrengths assessment.
Gallup's solution involved a large-scale, strategic rollout of CliftonStrengths, integrating it into ELC's leadership development, performance metrics, and diversity and inclusion programs. This was supported by an internal network of Gallup-Certified coaches. The results included stronger team collaboration, transparency, and trust. Employee engagement and performance improved as teams gained greater self-awareness and empathy. In recognition of this successful cultural transformation, ELC won the prestigious Don Clifton Strengths-Based Culture Award in 2022.
