Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art - Customer Case Study

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, a Bentonville institution with a 3,800‑object collection, wanted to raise its public profile and make its holdings accessible to remote visitors, scholars, and peer institutions. To publish its collection online and streamline workflows for image delivery and loans, Crystal Bridges partnered with Gallery Systems and adopted eMuseum (integrated with The Museum System, TMS).

Gallery Systems delivered a customized eMuseum site that pulls data from TMS, offers virtual galleries and an automated “On View” section, and controls image access for staff use. As a result, Crystal Bridges now publishes approximately 3,700 object records (about 79% of the collection), receives roughly 30,000 page views per month, and has seen increased inquiries, simpler external loans, faster image delivery, and improved internal access—clear gains in visibility and operational efficiency attributed to Gallery Systems.
