A Galgus Case Study
Real Betis Balompié, a major Spanish football club, faced the challenge of providing a stable and scalable WiFi network across its large stadium and facilities. Previous solutions from other providers had failed to handle the intense demands of match days, which included tens of thousands of spectators and hundreds of journalists uploading content simultaneously. The vendor, Galgus, implemented its Cognitive Hotspot Technology (CHT) to address this.
Galgus deployed its CHT across 61 access points initially, which was later expanded to include corporate areas, a players' residence, and a sports city. This solution provided a self-optimizing and robust network that successfully supported major events like the King’s Cup Final without failure. The measurable results include stable connectivity during high-density matches and the provision of real-time data analytics, opening the door for Galgus to design networks for other major Spanish stadiums.
