Woolworths, a major online grocery, food, and home appliances retailer in Australia and New Zealand, wanted technology that would help customers shop more conveniently and give staff intuitive tools to work more efficiently. The company said its teams needed access to the right applications and information from any location, using any device.
Woolworths decided to move to G Suite and Chrome, rolling out Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Hangouts Meet over 12 months to national and state offices. It also used Google App Engine for its “Tap to Support” app on iPads and planned to use Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Sites, and Google+ for collaboration, aiming to improve productivity, effectiveness, and real-time teamwork across the organization.
