Trade Me, New Zealand’s online marketplace and classified advertising platform, wanted to speed up document collaboration and improve videoconferencing. The company had been relying on a traditional suite of applications, but multiple versions of documents were being attached to emails and sent around the business, and calls could take up to 10 minutes to start. Trade Me chose G Suite to address those issues.

With G Suite, including Google Docs, Hangouts Meet, Drive, and Team Drive, Trade Me moved to cloud-based collaboration and easier video meetings. The company reached a 4% productivity improvement in 6 weeks, ahead of its 5% target, and said it was saving a minimum two hours per week per person across the business. Trade Me also eliminated the 5 to 10 minute delays in starting videoconferences, and its executive team could now create and edit meeting minutes during the meeting itself.
