Sompo Insurance (Hong Kong), a member company of Sompo Holdings, wanted to modernise its operations as it expanded into new markets and a retail insurance business. Its existing on-premises productivity applications and small IT team made it difficult to improve efficiency and reduce administrative work.

Using G Suite, Sompo Insurance (Hong Kong) rolled out Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Slides, and Sites to its 100 employees in 2017. G Suite helped the company create an internal portal in just a few days, support a retail insurance team quickly, and deliver an expected return on investment of 104% in three years, compared with 30% for a rival solution, with near-immediate payback in the first year versus about six years for the competing software.
