A G Suite Case Study
Kingston and Sutton London Borough Councils, local government authorities in southwest London, needed a way to keep services running amid ongoing budget cuts and reduced resources. To improve efficiency across shared services such as ICT, HR, and finance, they turned to G Suite by Google Cloud as a cloud-based communications and collaboration platform.
G Suite enabled the councils to share resources across more than 104 locations and 4,500 users, while helping teams work together more easily through Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Hangouts Meet. According to the case study, G Suite made shared service arrangements possible across multiple organisations, reduced email back-and-forth, simplified audits with quick self-populating surveys, and helped teams replace paper-based processes without needing outside consultancy.
