Broadcom used G Suite to support rapid growth while keeping costs under control. As the company expanded through organic growth and acquisitions, it needed email, collaboration, and productivity tools that could scale with it, improve product development, and help integrate acquired operations without adding complexity.
With G Suite, Broadcom moved employees from on-premises email to Gmail, which saved $1.5 million for the 3,500 employees it had at the time. Broadcom now has over 20,000 Gmail accounts, about six times the volume from 10 years ago, managed by one person, and it uses tools including Drive, Sites, Hangouts Chat, Vault, and Chromebooks to speed collaboration and simplify acquisition integration.
