ATB Financial Reimagining work with G Suite

ATB Financial, a crown corporation in Alberta’s financial services market, wanted to modernize how it delivered banking products and services while improving collaboration for its 5,300 employees. The company was dealing with VPN connectivity issues for remote workers, legacy office tools that slowed business processes, and a need to help teams work faster and spend more time with customers. It turned to G Suite to support its “Work Reimagined” initiative.

With G Suite from Google Cloud, ATB Financial moved email, calendars, files, documents, and collaboration into cloud-based tools including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Hangouts Meet. The rollout helped improve customer and employee satisfaction, enabled employees to work from anywhere, and reduced strategic planning, consolidation, and reporting time by 50%; quarterly board reporting time fell by nearly 60%, and the banking operations team redesigned a workflow in a single day. ATB also migrated 35 terabytes of data and 340 million email messages, calendar items, and contacts with no disruption of work.
