Winterbotham Darby, a fast-growing UK food supplier of own‑label chilled and ambient products (notably olives, antipasti and charcuterie), was struggling with complex, linked spreadsheets and manual planning as it expanded production and acquired new sites. To replace that risky process it turned to FuturMaster, implementing its Demand & Supply Planning suite including the MRP module and Advanced Promotions Management (APM).

FuturMaster delivered MRP-driven ordering of raw and packaging materials, Demand and Supply Planning, promotion management and analyser tools that integrate with Winterbotham Darby’s warehouses and ERP. The solution improved forecast accuracy, enabled optimized average stock levels of seven days cover with monthly stock turns of 4.2, and now supports daily management of ~750 finished‑goods SKUs and ~450 ingredient/packaging SKUs while optimising vehicle utilisation; Winterbotham Darby continues to expand functionality with FuturMaster (including future machine‑learning plans).
