Fastems, a world-leading supplier of CNC automation solutions, faced the challenge of creating more customer value and new business in the manufacturing industry. They needed to better understand their customers' core challenges, establish a modern IT environment, strengthen their in-house capabilities, and build an innovative new business case. They partnered with the vendor Futurice to address these needs.

Futurice co-created a new cloud-based service for Fastems called myFastems. The solution involved conducting a service vision sprint, developing a scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure with an Angular front end, and introducing the Fastems team to agile ways of working. The results included an improved team competency, a concrete starting point for an agile service business, and the ability to deliver pioneering services that deepen customer relationships.
