Case Study: Betolar achieves a more scalable, data-driven R&D process with Futurice

A Futurice Case Study

Preview of the Betolar Case Study

Betolar reduces concrete emissions by up to 80% with Futurice

Betolar, a Finnish materials technology company, faced the challenge of making its research and development process for its sustainable Geoprime® building material more effective and scalable. The key hurdle was efficiently utilizing varying industrial side streams to replace cement, which required a more data-driven approach to their lab operations. Futurice was engaged to help identify a digital strategy to address this.

Futurice improved Betolar's existing Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and developed a new R&D analytics tool to integrate and analyze data from various experiments. This solution made the product development process more efficient and scalable. As a result, Betolar's researchers can now speed up data analysis considerably, and the tool has become a central part of the daily workflow for the vast majority of the R&D team, improving both individual and team efficiency.
