How LocalTapiola Built a Strategic Foresight System

LocalTapiola Group, a Finnish insurance company, wanted to strengthen its long-term strategic planning after concluding that its short- and medium-term planning was already working well. The group turned to Futures Platform and its digital foresight tool to create a more structured and participatory foresight process that could support strategic decision-making.

Futures Platform helped LocalTapiola build a continuous foresight system through workshops, trend radars, regular monitoring, and broader input from management and staff. The result was a more systematic approach to future planning that became internally established, and LocalTapiola Real Estate Asset Management later earned the five-star EFQM Recognized for Excellence certification in 2018, with future business environment analysis cited as part of the basis.
