Case Study: Morpho Detection launches a new data center in 16 weeks with FusionStorm

A FusionStorm Case Study

Preview of the Morpho Detection Case Study

FusionStorm helps Morpho Detection roll out a new data center, network infrastructure and 1,100 PCs in record time

Morpho Detection, facing a tight divestiture timeline as it separated from GE into a standalone Safran Group subsidiary, had less than five months to build a new IT environment, staff it, and replace infrastructure previously owned and managed by GE. The company turned to FusionStorm for help designing and deploying a new data center, network infrastructure, and the systems needed to support more than 1,000 users worldwide, including new PCs and core services like Active Directory and Exchange.

FusionStorm delivered the new infrastructure in just 16 weeks, using virtualized, best-of-breed hardware and Cisco networking while also helping establish strong security standards. The rollout included 1,100 PCs and global user cutover, and the result was described as almost flawless, with only minor end-user login issues and stable systems a year later. Morpho Detection later extended the engagement with FusionStorm managed services for proactive monitoring and 24x7 support, providing the equivalent of one or two full-time staff at far lower cost.
