FusionStorm guides PointRight to a more efficient, higher performance data center built on Cisco UCS and EMC

PointRight, Inc., an analytics and decision-support provider for the healthcare industry, needed to modernize and streamline its growing data center environment. As customer demand increased, the company had accumulated more than 12 technology vendors and a mix of aging storage and server systems, creating bottlenecks, inefficiency, and management complexity. PointRight turned to FusionStorm for help designing a more cohesive infrastructure, including EMC storage and Cisco UCS.

FusionStorm assessed the existing environment and implemented a new data center architecture built on EMC VNX storage and Cisco UCS, with a path toward replication and virtualization using EMC and VMware technologies. The upgrade doubled storage performance and delivered two to three times better server performance while reducing physical footprint, simplifying management, and improving scalability. FusionStorm also helped PointRight consolidate operations and secure financing, positioning the company for future growth.
