Columbia Sportswear Company, the Portland-based apparel and footwear maker, needed a faster way to deliver SAP AFS reporting and supply chain analytics without expanding IT staff or infrastructure. As it rolled out SAP ECC and AFS, the company faced gaps in tactical and operational reporting and needed timely visibility for inventory, sales, credit, and executive teams. Columbia chose FusionOps and its Supply Chain Analytics application to address these reporting challenges.

FusionOps implemented pre-built, apparel-specific data models and a cloud-based SaaS analytics platform to rapidly deliver customized reports, metrics, and self-service dashboards. The impact was significant: a report that took about 12 hours in SAP could run in just three minutes in FusionOps, and Columbia estimated building the solution from scratch would have taken several times more effort. FusionOps also supported around 350 users and delivered 200 reports/views across 300 metrics, improving reporting speed, visibility, and total cost of ownership.
