SolarWorld, a global manufacturer of solar power equipment, launched the Suntrol Portal to let system owners monitor and analyze solar-module performance across hours, months and years — including access from iPads and iPhones. The team needed an interactive, drill-down charting solution with a JavaScript fallback for mobile devices because their previous bitmap-based charts were non-interactive and limiting.

After evaluating options, SolarWorld implemented FusionCharts for its Flash charts with integrated JavaScript fallback. Implementation was quick and required no extra coding for mobile support; documentation and support made troubleshooting easy. The result: improved usability and functionality of the Suntrol Portal, positive user feedback from day one, strong developer satisfaction, and plans to reuse FusionCharts in future projects.
