Case Study: WeRoad simplifies user authentication and cuts costs with FusionAuth

A FusionAuth Case Study

Preview of the WeRoad Case Study

WeRoad brings travelers together for live-changing travel and used FusionAuth to simplify their auth infrastructure

WeRoad, a travel community and company sending small groups of millennials on trips worldwide, needed a centralized way to manage user accounts, roles, and access across more than five internal platforms. Before FusionAuth, each service had its own users and roles tables, forcing employees to create separate accounts and juggle multiple passwords; they were also using Auth0, but found its role and permission model confusing and its pricing too high at scale.

WeRoad implemented FusionAuth for user management, role-based access control, classic login, and social sign-on, deploying it on Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform. With FusionAuth, WeRoad simplified its auth infrastructure, gained more confidence by running it on their own infrastructure, and expects to save at least $500 per month, while also avoiding the need for at least two people over two months to build and maintain a custom solution.
