Case Study: Sunfinity Renewable Energy achieves control, productivity, and cost savings with FusionAuth

A FusionAuth Case Study

Preview of the Sunfinity Renewable Energy Case Study

Sunfinity uses FusionAuth as their centralized auth system and connected it to their sales CRM, ops ticketing and other custom applications

Sunfinity Renewable Energy, a medium-sized solar company, needed a self-hosted identity and access management solution that could support its open-source-first IT strategy, custom applications, and growing set of third-party tools. Before FusionAuth, they relied on a homegrown authentication approach that didn’t support modern standards like OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML, making integrations with external systems more difficult.

FusionAuth provided Sunfinity with a self-hosted primary identity provider that integrated with Google GSuite, OSTicket, SnipeIT, ERPNext, SuiteCRM, Nextcloud, GitLab, and Sunfinity’s own Angular, VueJS, and Python apps. The team was up and running in a day, gained tighter control and flexibility, and reported major savings in time and cost, including zero API-hit costs compared with cloud alternatives.
