Case Study: Contaim achieves streamlined authentication and easy OAuth integrations with FusionAuth

A FusionAuth Case Study

Preview of the Contaim Case Study

Contaim adopts FusionAuth to manage their auth lifecycle

Contaim, a game server management company founded by Scott Plunkett, needed a turnkey authentication solution so they wouldn’t have to build or manage the auth lifecycle themselves. They required user management, OAuth/OIDC, social sign-on and two‑factor authentication, and adopted FusionAuth to provide those capabilities.

FusionAuth was self‑hosted on a Debian server (behind an ELB) to deliver user management, OAuth/OIDC, social sign‑on and 2FA; its OIDC support made API authentication for integrations like Integromat simple, enabling codeless actions such as creating or restarting servers, kicking players, updating ban lists and surfacing analytics. Using FusionAuth saved Contaim significant development time, avoided building an in‑house auth stack, and provided the flexibility to self‑host now and move to FusionAuth cloud later, despite a few feature gaps they noted.
