Greenlea Premium Meats, a USDA and EU licensed export meat processor in Waikato, was facing payroll complexity as the business grew to around 425 staff and exports expanded to more than 40 countries. Its wage payment process relied heavily on spreadsheets and an aging system, creating errors, double handling, and difficulty accessing historical records. Greenlea turned to Fusion5 and its PayGlobal Exolvo solution to address these payroll and operational challenges.

Fusion5 implemented PayGlobal Exolvo with a customized start-of-day routine that let supervisors quickly adjust daily pays by department, while keeping plant-level work unchanged. The result was a more efficient, lower-risk payroll function, reducing effort from 1.5 FTEs to 1 FTE, cutting errors, eliminating annual data purges and regular correction pay runs, and enabling multi-user access across sites. Greenlea later expanded the solution with additional functionality, including self service and health and safety features, with continued support from Fusion5.
