The Department for Child Protection and Family Support in Western Australia manages a large, highly dispersed workforce of more than 2,500 staff and over 1,300 specialist roles, creating complex recruitment and vacancy management challenges. Using Fusion5’s EmpowerHR, the department wanted a better way to handle position establishment, vacancies, and recruitment processes across its many business units.
Fusion5 worked with the Department for Child Protection and Family Support to build a simple online Establishment and Vacancy Management System, using EmpowerHR as the single source of truth. The solution standardized processes, enabled regular status updates and corporate reporting, and gave HR and managers better visibility and control; as a result, department-wide vacancies were reduced by half and decision-making became more strategic and data-driven.
