Kiwibank needed to replace an inflexible NZ Post payroll and HR system that relied on spreadsheets, manual processes, and a lengthy remuneration review cycle. As the bank grew, it required its own HRIS to support recruitment, learning, core HR, payroll, performance management, and broader HR needs. Fusion5’s Jade Star HR and Payroll was selected after a robust RFP process.
Fusion5 implemented Jade Star in 2009, delivering a seamless go-live with strong NZ-based support, customisation, and integration across Kiwibank’s systems. The result was a major reduction in payroll errors and phone queries, on-time and accurate pay, improved self-service through the HR Hub, and far less manual adjustment work. Kiwibank reported that the experience was “extremely positive” and that Fusion5 continues to provide reliable ongoing support and third-party integration assistance.
