Barnardos, a New Zealand charity supporting children, young people, and families across 65+ locations, needed to move from a paper-based approach to a digital case management system and improve how it collected, reported, and acted on client data. For the second stage of its BConnect initiative, Barnardos selected Fusion5 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to help manage complex services, referrals, scheduling, and confidential case information more effectively.
Fusion5 implemented BConnect stage two using Microsoft Dynamics CRM, maximizing out-of-the-box functionality while adding reporting, automation, approvals, and security controls. The result was better data capture and access, richer reporting for funders, improved operational efficiency, and a “definite improvement in efficiency” for users; Barnardos said the solution simplified day-to-day tasks, strengthened decision-making, and created a stronger evidence base for service outcomes.
