A Furia Rubel Case Study
The James A. Michener Art Museum, an independent nonprofit cultural institution, was selected as the only northeastern U.S. venue to exhibit Renaissance masterpieces from Florence's Uffizi Gallery. The museum engaged the public relations firm Furia Rubel to create awareness and generate publicity for the "Offering of the Angels" exhibit, specifically targeting Italian and Italian-American audiences, and to provide strategic counsel for a press conference.
Furia Rubel coordinated a press conference at the Italian consul general's office and leveraged the museum's brand to entice both traditional and key Italian media outlets. Their efforts resulted in over 8 million media impressions, 64 media placements, and a 36.6% return on investment. The exhibit became the museum's most attended special event to date, grossing $90,000 to support its educational programs.
