Stop Soldier Suicide, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing the high suicide rate among service members and veterans, sought to significantly scale its fundraising and donor engagement efforts to meet its bold goal. To tackle this challenge, they partnered with the fundraising platform Funraise and its social fundraising solution, GoodUnited.
With Funraise, Stop Soldier Suicide implemented a strategy focused on social and peer-to-peer fundraising. This solution enabled them to successfully engage donors in digital spaces, leading to substantial growth. The results were highly impactful: through Facebook fundraising alone, they raised $4 million and gained 100,000 new donors in 2020. By mid-2021, their recurring subscription program had grown to 755 members, and their peer-to-peer fundraising program had more than doubled, showcasing the effective partnership with Funraise.
