LiNK tamed 2020's virtual events by raising $1M through Funraise

Liberty in North Korea (LiNK), an international NGO, faced a significant challenge to their major fundraising events with the onset of the global pandemic in 2020. Their dual gala system, a critical source of funding and awareness, was suddenly at risk. They turned to the fundraising platform Funraise to help pivot their in-person events to a completely virtual format.

Using Funraise's platform through their event and donation pages, LiNK successfully hosted two virtual galas. The solution made it easy for donors to give directly on the event page without interrupting the program. The results were outstanding: LiNK raised $1.06 million, surpassing their $800,000 goal. The events also engaged a massive new audience, resulting in approximately 840 first-time donors and over 1,000 new email signups, showcasing the profound impact of the Funraise solution.
