A FundRaiser Software Case Study
Ijams Nature Center, a nonprofit conservation organization, needed a quick, low-effort way to participate in #GivingTuesday during a busy year-end fundraising period and to raise awareness, funds, and new donors. Development Director Cindy Hassel pulled together a campaign on short notice using resources from the Giving Tuesday website, photos of the nature center, and social media channels.
Cindy used pre-made logos, sample copy, simple graphics and hashtags across the website, e-newsletter, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and promoted volunteer-focused UNselfie actions to engage supporters. The campaign raised just over $6,000 (including a precommitted $5,000 gift and about $1,000 from many smaller donations), attracted new members and shares on social media, and all gifts were recorded in FundRaiser for follow-up and ROI tracking — delivering increased visibility and new donors with minimal time investment.
