BRING Recycling, a longtime community recycling center in Eugene, launched a capital campaign to build a Planet Improvement Center and found fundraising — especially tracking hundreds of pledges and keeping donors informed — was a major shift from their grassroots roots. Managing varied pledge amounts, late or partial payments, and a growing mix of gift sources (appeals, newsletters, workplace giving, online sites, memorials and grants) created a mountain of details as they moved from Phase I into the more complex Phase II.

Using FundRaiser Select, BRING automated pledge tracking, tickler reminders and linked reminder/overdue letters, and tracked motivation, fund, purpose and solicitor with gift codes — even recording donor‑reported values for in‑kind gifts. The system helped them maintain monthly donor communications, streamline follow‑ups, identify newsletters as a key revenue source, and ultimately supported raising over $1 million to complete Phase I while managing increased in‑kind donations and stronger store activity.
