Theorem Fund Services - Customer Case Study

Theorem Fund Services, a Chicago-based multi-service fund administrator, needed to expand its platform to capture revenue streams that traditional fund administrators provide but don’t monetize. To do that it required an integrated software solution for portfolio accounting, fund accounting, investor reporting and broader financial reporting — plus a vendor willing to be highly responsive to custom development requests. Theorem selected FundCount’s integrated accounting and reporting software to meet those needs.

By leveraging FundCount and its willingness to build specific functionality, Theorem consolidated all core portfolio accounting and financial reporting into one system, enabled flexible data uploads from external sources, and built custom reports and an online portal without additional programming. The results: faster, more accurate work (auditors get what they need in minutes rather than hours or days), streamlined audits and tax deliverables (partnership returns, K‑1s, GAAP/IFRS statements), and the ability to offer a comprehensive service package at about the same cost as traditional fund administration — giving Theorem a clear competitive advantage. FundCount continues to work with Theorem to add new asset-class functionality.
