The Lupton Company, a Chattanooga-based single-family office, faced a complex accounting and reporting challenge: supporting numerous family entities and ownership structures while integrating private equity, real estate, performance metrics and marketable securities on a single platform, plus partnership accounting and a full range of out-of-the-box reports. To address this, The Lupton Company evaluated and selected FundCount’s accounting and performance measurement software.

FundCount delivered a demo and proof-of-concept using private equity and marketable securities data for two entities, then implemented a consolidated general ledger with multi-entity drop-downs and robust drill-down reporting. The solution gave The Lupton Company greater visibility, accuracy and efficiency—enabling review of 10 partnerships to drop from as many as three days to a single day—and improved confidence in underlying data thanks to FundCount’s integrated reporting and support.
