A Fulcrum Case Study
Degenkolb Engineers, the nation’s oldest and largest earthquake engineering firm, was tasked with documenting that thousands of hospital components (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical devices, and interior elements) were properly braced under California’s Seismic Compliance Program. Their paper/pen/camera workflow required manual photo-numbering, extensive post-processing, and was slow and disruptive to sensitive hospital areas.
By deploying Fulcrum’s custom mobile surveys, classification sets, and preloaded equipment data, teams could capture photos linked automatically to records and populate a shared database in real time. The result was faster, less disruptive inspections, reduced post-processing, more consistent data, and improved ability to satisfy clients and deliver projects on time.
