A Fulcrum Case Study
Great Lakes Wellhead (GLW), founded as a partnership in 1985 and incorporated in 2009, provides wellhead services across E&P, gas storage and wellhead disposal. Facing new PHMSA regulations that require inspection of roughly 17,000 underground storage wells on tight timelines, GLW struggled with locating legacy wellheads amid changing surface landmarks, incomplete asset inventories, and multiple regulator-specific inspection requirements that caused redundant trips and increased compliance risk.
To solve this, GLW adopted Fulcrum in 2020 to digitize inspections, automatically capture precise geolocation, and standardize data collection so small crews can perform multiple inspections in one visit. The result: inspection times cut by about 80% (roughly five times faster), fewer site visits and lower costs, timely compliance with federal and state rules, and accurate reports/raw data that empower clients to assess and mitigate asset risk.
