Trane Technologies, a global industrial manufacturer with about 41,000 employees, faced a clear talent challenge: employees wanted better career development, and the company needed to improve engagement, recruitment, development and retention. To address this, Trane Technologies partnered with Fuel50 and launched the enterprise-wide Career Progress initiative—centered on a new Career Framework and the MY CAREER NAVIGATOR (Fuel50 platform)—to give employees clearer career paths and managers tools to support development.
Fuel50 implemented Career Streams and Bands, Success Profiles and the Career Navigator, plus broad communications and training, giving employees 24/7 access to career mapping and development tools. The results included internal recruitment rising from 38.7% to 55%, most moves becoming lateral, a 5-point engagement uplift among pilot engineers versus 2 points in the rest of the business, and an 11-point improvement in leader‑conversation measures in the pilot compared with a 5-point gain elsewhere—demonstrating measurable impact from Fuel50’s solution.
