Trusted Media Brands, Inc., publisher of Reader’s Digest, needed a way to engage adults age 55+ on important cyber security topics like phone scams while also testing the idea of a virtual event that could leverage the trust of its brand. Using Fuel Cycle’s FC Community, the company tapped its Inner Circle audience to explore a partner campaign that would educate consumers and build confidence in a mobile telecom company’s scam protection offering.
Fuel Cycle helped launch the first-ever “RendeZoom,” a 45-minute virtual event hosted by a Reader’s Digest senior editor and a cyber security expert, with invitees screened for interest and video-conference readiness. Afterward, participants received a tip sheet and reported strong outcomes: 97% learned something new, 90% became more aware of scams, 87% felt more positive toward the telecom brand, and 94% said they would share what they learned. Fuel Cycle also enabled follow-on content, including a website article, custom email, and social videos.
