Case Study: Airport Nürnberg achieves secure, efficient contractor access and full session auditing with Fudo Security

A Fudo Security Case Study

Preview of the Airport Nürnberg Case Study

Airport Nürnberg - Customer Case Study

Airport Nürnberg needed a central privileged access management solution to let service contractors maintain server systems while giving IT full visibility of which systems were accessed, by whom, and when—plus the ability to respond quickly in emergencies. After evaluating alternatives, Airport Nürnberg chose Fudo Security’s PAM appliance for its usability, scalability and fit with the airport’s operational requirements.

Fudo Security deployed its appliance in Bastion Mode, first on a virtual appliance for testing and then on hardware with minimal reconfiguration. The solution records sessions (up to ten simultaneous), archives logs for two years, supports Windows and Linux, and enables contractors to generate service-account passwords rather than use shared credentials. The airport reports faster contractor work, reduced account-management overhead, improved collaboration and security reporting, and seamless operation over 2–3 years—summed up by the airport’s security officer as “safety is guaranteed.”
